This simple recipe for strawberry overnight oats makes a great breakfast idea. Especially handy for a breakfast on the go that you can prepare the day before. Strawberry overnight oats could also be a handy dessert.

Ingredients

For bottom layer

  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp date extract

For mid-layer

  • 1 tbsp pistachio powder
  • 1/4 cup low-fat yogurt

For top layer

  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree
  • 4 pce hazelnuts

Instructions

  • Mix the oat, milk, chia seed, and date syrup in a jar. Close the lid and rest overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Next day, take the jar out of the refrigerator. Mix the yogurt and pistachio powder in a separate small bowl. Then transfer it to the jar. Do not mix them.
  • Pour the strawberry puree over the yogurt mixture. Sprinkle the chopped hazelnut and optionally strawberry slices on top of it.
  • You can take your dessert with you. When out of the refrigerator, it needs tobe consumed within 4 hours.
